It’s a Mural Treasure Hunt!

Downtown Peoria has a few…One World has a whole wall. The Shoppes at Grand Prairie has a fun one. The old Madison Theatre is never forgotten by it’s wall…Metro Centre has one where you can find yourself…Peoria Heights does too.

What are we talking about? If you haven’t figured it out yet…we are talking about hand painted murals in the different locations of Peoria. Each are unique, beautiful works of art. Some promote the infamous selfie. Perhaps a map of the area. Some pays homage to Peoria history.

A few years ago, I found a couple while on a run. Depending on my route, I would make it a point to find these murals. While giving clients tours of our community, we would pass some. Running errands with our daughters, I had to pose in front of one. This is why they are there – to enjoy and promote where you live! Not all of them are in the highest traffic areas however, people make it a point to stop and snap a photo.

We have given you a few hints…go find one and take a photo. It’s fun. Go do it!
